The following steps explain how to use the Search for Object feature to count selected types of objects:

  • Open the Search for Objects.
  • Click on the 'Object Types' tab.
  • Pick the specific object you would like to count as shown in the image below:

  • Go to Tools->Options                                                                                                            
  • Uncheck 'Resolve shortcuts to target objects' so to remove the count of shortcuts to an object. This is shown in the image below:

  • Hit OK and Select 'Find Now' to search for the objects that were selected from step 3.
  • The count of objects found is at the bottom of the Search for Objects window. This is highlighted in the image below:
