KB36711: In MicroStrategy Web 9.4 and above, a link does not work for the subtotal in a grid report

This Knowledge Base article describes a current limitation of MicroStrategy Web 9.4.x-10.x. No workaround is currently available.

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web 9.4.x-10.x, a link does not work for the subtotal in a grid report
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  • Create a grid report with Call Center attribute and Profit metric.
  • Enable "total" on the report (data->subtotals->total)
  • Right click on the metric and use the "edit link" option to create a link for the metric.

  • Run the report in Strategy Web, note that there is no link on the subtotal.

CAUSE:
This is a current limitation of Strategy Web 9.4.x-10.x.
 
ACTION:
Currently this issue is still being reviewed for feasibility by our Technology team and it is not scoped for any upcoming scheduled Strategy release.
