KB36742: What is MicroStrategy Health Center’s Customer Experience Improvement Program

Community Admin

• Strategy

MicroStrategy Health Center gives you the option to automatically send information about your MicroStrategy environment and usage to MicroStrategy in order to better understand your system installation.

Strategy Health Center gives you the option to automatically send information about your Strategy environment and usage to Strategy in order to better understand your system installation. A data collector is included as part of the program in order to assess configuration settings and make recommendations that will improve performance in a BI system.

The Customer Experience Improvement Program has three main benefits:

  • To provide a better customer support experience by allowing Strategy Support engineers to quickly understand the customer's environment.
  • To help organizations that participate in the program improve their Strategy environments by comparing their systems with other similar implementations in the industry.
  • To perform research and analysis of customers environments in order to improve Strategy's products and services.

NOTE: No report data or prompt answers will be sent to Strategy. If you decide to participate in the program, Strategy Health Center will send information from the organization’s Strategy environment to Strategy.

How often does the program collect the data?
There are two actions performed by the program: Data Collection and Data Transmission.

For Strategy 9.0.1,
The data collection happens on two conditions:

  • Master Health Agent startup
  • When the user clicks "Refresh System Checks" button in the Health Center Console.

The transmission happens each time a check for available Health Center updates is made, either through user interaction or by the weekly schedule to check for updates.

For Strategy 9.0.2 and above,
After the user configures a Master Health Agent,

  • After 12 hours, the program collects data. And the same time is scheduled weekly for data collection.
  • After 36 hours, the program transmits the data to Strategy. And the same time is scheduled weekly for data transmission.

In addition, when a data collection occurs, Health Center keeps a copy of the collected files in Health Center repository. The user can review the files sent to Strategy by going to \Census
