KB36922: "Project <Project Name> was created with an earlier version of MicroStrategy Developer and needs to be updated" error message appears when connecting to a project from MicroStrategy Developer 9.x

SYMPTOM:
When connecting to a project from Strategy Developer 9.x, following error message appears:

Project "<Project Name>" was created with an earlier version of Strategy Developer and needs to be updated. Updating will prevent loss of functionality and unexpected bahavior. Updating will also allow you to take advantage of enhancements in the newer metadata version.
Use the Configuration Wizard to update this project.
 
 
CAUSE:
This message is displayed because the project was created with an earlier version of Strategy Developer and starting in Strategy 9.x, projects can only be updated from Configuration Wizard.
 
ACTION:
All updates to projects after Strategy 9.0.1 must be carried out through the Configuration Wizard.
