KB36992: When browsing either the Main or Administrator page, a blank white page is displayed and the browser status shows "Web site found waiting for reply" for an indefinite length of time in MicroStrategy Web 9.4.1 and above.

SYMPTOM
In Strategy Web 9.4.1 and above running on a Windows IIS web server, users see a blank white screen and a browser status of "Web site found waiting for reply" for an indefinite length of time, when attempting to browse to the Main.aspx or Admin.aspx page.
 
CAUSE
A possible cause is that IIS is configured to redirect users to a different page from the Main.aspx or the Admin.aspx page. This particular page redirects to itself causing the browser to loop indefinitely to the same page.
 
ACTION
Configure IIS to use the appropriate Strategy Web directory, rather than a redirection. 
 
In IIS7: 

1. Select the Strategy virtual directory in the left panel.
2. Double-click on the "HTTP Redirect" feature in the right panel.
3. Uncheck "Redirect requests to this destination."
