It may be necessary to change the System Default selections for Web Preferences in Strategy Web version 9.x.This can be done by modifying the System Definitions section within the Web Customization editor.
In this example, we will modify the default preferences to always export grids with formatting, and to change the number of History List messages to keep from the out-of-the-box default of 3 to 5.
1. Open the Web Customization Editor, and Expand Web Configuration Settings -> System Definitions.
2. To change the Excel option, find the exportFormatGrids parameter, and change the value to excelFormattingGrids.
3. To change the number of reports to keep in Inbox from 3 to 5, workingSetSize parameter, and change the value to 5.
4. Save all changes, and restart the web server.
