SYMPTOM:
Distribution Service: MSIDeliveryEngine::hDelivery: Email Delivery Failed. Error string from ExecuteMultiProcess Authentication required SMTP Error: 530
The below error appears in DSSErrors.log:
Distribution Service: MSIDeliveryEngine::hDelivery: Email Delivery Failed. Error string from ExecuteMultiProcess Authentication required SMTP Error: 530
CAUSE:
This is an expected behavior.
Currently, Strategy Distribution Services does not support to delivery email against SMTP server which requires authentication. An enhancement request has been logged to support this functionality.
ACTION:
Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update of this request.
WORKAROUND:
Configure a SMTP Smart Host server in Strategy Distribution Services which does not require authentication to delivery emails.
