SYMPTOM
After an Administrator has created the Database Instance for Strategy Enterprise Manager pointing to the Statistics and warehouse tables, all of the the options to configure Statistics - General are grayed out and unavailable, as shown below.
CAUSE
The Statistics database instance has to be first configured under Project Configuration > Database Instances > Statistics as shown below.
ACTION
Once you select a proper Database Instance, go to Project Configuration > Statistics > General. Find that the checkbox for "Basic statistics" can now be checked, and the rest of the checkboxes have become available after the "Basic statistics" option is checked.
