CAUSE:
 
HTTP Session State is not correctly configured in SharePoint Portal Server.
 
ACTION:
 
Please follow Portal documentation to Enable HTTP Session State in SharePoint Portal Server 2010. The following screenshot is taken from Portal documentation for SharePoint 2010.
