SYMPTOM:
In the Strategy Web Preferences, there is an option to 'Expand all page-by fields' under User Preferences and Project Defaults:
Even if this option is unchecked, when exporting a document, the following pop up message is presented, and the option will be checked by default.

CAUSE:
This is because the User preferences and Project Defaults export options only apply to Reports.
ACTION
In order to change the Expand Page-by setting for documents, the Export Options in Document Properties needs to be modified:
