SYMPTOM:
After an upgrade to Strategy version 9.x and 10.x, and after loading a project, when trying to connect or view a project in 3-tier, the following error message is shown:
Sample Code/Error
"Unexpected Error in SetCOMStatus: MSIMessageUnpacker::Create failed".
Note: When connecting to the upgraded metadata in 2-tier, no issues are found and the project works as expected.
CAUSE:
One possible cause for this this error message is that the Intelligence Server has not been restarted after the upgrade.
ACTION:
Restart the Strategy Intelligence Server and contact Strategy Technical Support if this issue persists.
