This KB addresses an issue seen when attempting to install MicroStrategy.

SYMPTOM:
When installing Strategy, user get the error below:

MISSING: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 64-bit Runtime
MISSING: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 32-bit Runtime

 
Unable to locate the executable file "vcredist.exe" from the folder \Installations\Utilities\3rdParty\ in the installation folder to perform a manual install of Visual C++, as the Utilities folder is missing.
 
CAUSE:
A possible cause is that installation package has been compromised or the wrong installation package was downloaded from the download site. 
 
ACTION:
Delete other zip files and download a fresh installation package from the Strategy download site and repeat the installation.
