Community Admin

• Strategy

Follow steps below to get the preference object XML definition for Personalized Document execution using dynamic subscriptions in Strategy Narrowcast Server 9.x:

  • Create a document based on the content report in Desktop. Check step 7 in KB12127 for details about the content report.
  • Create a static Narrowcast service to deliver above document through email. Send it as linked document. Make sure to set the execution mode as Personalized document execution:

  • Follow the same steps to get the GUID of the Information Source object.
  • Obtain the MR_PREF_OBJ_ID by running the following SQL statement against the OR/SBR:

    Sql

select MR_PREF_OBJ_ID from <prefix>MSTRSUBPREF where MR_INFOSOURCE_ID='value obtained in step 7 for the information source object' and MR_QUES_OBJ_ID='value obtained in step 6 for the question object'

  • Finally obtain the XML that is in MR_PREF_OBJ by running the following SQL:

    Sql

select MR_PREF_OBJ from <prefix>MSTRPREFOBJS where MR_PREF_OBJ_ID='value obtained in step 8' order by MR_SEQ
