KB38040: Prompt inside of a metric using an ApplySimple function does not display the prompt name in the prompt ordering window inside a Report Services Document in MicroStrategy Developer 9.x and 10.x

SYMPTOM:
When adding a prompted metric using an ApplySimple() function that includes a Max, the prompt name will not be displayed for prompt ordering on a Strategy Report Services Document as shown in the image below:  
 

 
The metric in the report contains a formula similar to the following example

Max(ApplySimple("#0", ?))
 
 
 
CAUSE:
 
 
This is a known issue in Strategy Developer 9.x and 10.x
 
 
 
 
WORKAROUND:
Remove the MAX() function that is around the ApplySimple formula to make the prompt name  appear in the prompt ordering window
 
ACTION:
Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update with this issue.
