How to delete unused project sources in a MicroStrategy Intelligence server10.x in a UNIX environment

The configuration wizard only allows users to create new project sources, and does not offer an option to remove them.

In order  to manually remove project sources that were created by the configuration wizard but are no longer in use, users should edit the MSIreg.reg registry file in the Server machine and locate the project sources under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MicroStrategy\Data Sources and manually remove the required entry. Note that the MSIReg.reg file is a critical application file and should be backed up before attempting any modifications.

An example of a Project Source entry in the MSIReg.reg file is shown below:

"ApplicationType"=dword:00000001
"AuthMode"=dword:00000001
"DBType"=dword:0000012c
"Disable Report Cache"=dword:ffffffff
"Element Cache Life Time"=dword:ffffffff
"Element Cache Table Bucket Count"=dword:ffffffff
"Element Cache Table Bucket Per Lock"=dword:ffffffff
"Element Cache Use Connection Map"=dword:ffffffff
"Element Cache Use Pass-Through Login"=dword:ffffffff
"Element File Cache Path"=""
.
.
