Reports scheduled via MicroStrategy Distribution Services 10.x may fail with the following error in the DSSErrors.log:

SYMPTOM:
Reports scheduled via Strategy Distribution Services 10.x may fail with the following error in the DSSErrors.log:

MsiUserSession::AddUserJob: maximum jobs per user connection on project XXX exceeded

CAUSE:
One possible cause for this issue is there are many reports being used as datasets in a Report Services document which is being sent through Distribution Services.  Each of the reports within the document are counted against both the Intelligence Server and Project governing setting limits.

ACTION:
Check the option “For Intelligence Server job and history list governing, exclude reports embedded in Report Services documents from the counts” in Strategy Intelligence Server Configuration > Governing > General:

This will allow reports which are embedded in a Report Services document to not count against Intelligence Server or Project governing settings.
