What will happen to Intelligent Cube cache after schema update performed resulting changes in data with MicroStrategy Developer

QUESTION:
If a schema update has been done for one or more of the attributes used in Intelligent Cube which has been published, will it force the cube to be republished?
ANSWER:
When an Intelligent Cube is published prior to the schema change, it will not be checked or affected in any way.  Instead, reports created off of the cube will continue to hit the outdated cube. For example,

  1. Create a report with an attribute with only one attribute form.
  2. Create an Intelligent Cube with this attribute and publish.
  3. Create a report with this Intelligent Cube and execute the report --> one row with 4 element returned.
  4. Edit the attribute created at step1, and add one more attribute form there.
  5. Update Schema.
  6. Execute the report created at step3 --> one row with 4 elements returned.
  7. Check the Intelligent Cube and confirm the attribute form added at step 4 is visible.
  8. Create a new report with this updated attribute and executed --> two rows and total 8 elements are returned.

This means that the change in schema object does not impact the existing Intelligent Cube cache. Administrators need to manually update (republish) the Intelligent Cube to reflect the schema changes.
