KB38540: How to configure the Composite 6.0 ODBC driver for connectivity to a Composite database for the MicroStrategy Intelligence Server on AIX

Users should refer to the following Strategy Knowledge Base technical note for information on how to setup the DBMS objects to be able to use the Composite 6.0 database with the Strategy Intelligence Server:

Follow the steps below to configure the Composite ODBC driver with the Strategy Intelligence Server on AIX:
1.  Install the Composite driver files on the AIX system that will host the Strategy Intelligence Server.
2.  Add the settings for environment variables by manually adding the following entry to the end of the <Strategy_Home_Path>/env/ODBC.sh file (this file may need to be made writable using the chmod +w command):

Note that:
<COMPOSITE_HOME> is the location of the installed Composite 6.0 ODBC client for AIX.
<COMPOSITE_PATH> is the directory for the installed Composite 6.x ODBC driver file for AIX.
 
3.  Save and close the ODBC.sh file.
4.  Create a DSN to the Composite 6.0 database.  Refer to the following Strategy Knowledge Base technical note should detailed information is needed:

5. Restart the Strategy Intelligence Server.
