KB38778: "You do not access privileges to create objects of type 'Shortcut'" after attempting to copy and paste a FreeForm SQL report within MicroStrategy 9.x.

SYMPTOM:
When copying and pasting FreeForm SQL reports within Strategy 9.x, the error "You do not access privileges to create objects of type 'Shortcut'" appears.

 
Upon clicking "OK", the copies are still generated and they are still usable.

 
CAUSE:
This is a known issue with Strategy Developer 9.x.
 
ACTION:
Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.
 
WORKAROUND:
To avoid the error message, grant users the "Create shortcut - inherited from group (System Administrators)" privilege under "Common Privileges."
