KB441458: "The Database Instance selected for Project 'xxx' does not have parameterized queries enabled." error occurs when trying to create a Data Load using MicroStrategy Command Manager 10.x

This article explains why you are unable to create a data load object using MicroStrategy Command Manager after Enterprise Manager Warehouse tables have been created without any error and suggests a resolution.

SYMPTOM
A new data load cannot be created due to an error as shown below:
The Database Instance selected for Project '<project name>' does not have parameterized queries enabled."

In this example, the following command was executed before this error message shown:


CREATE DATA LOAD "TEST" FOR ENVIRONMENT "I-Server machine name" AND PROJECT "Strategy Tutorial" DO ACTION UPDATEWAREHOUSE BEGIN DATE "10/22/2015 22:00:00 +0000" TO "08/25/2020 22:00:00 +0000" FREQUENCY WEEKLY ON SATURDAY AT 02:00:00 ENABLED IN ENTERPRISE MANAGER "IP of EM machine" IN PORT 9999;

CAUSE
As suggested in the error message, the option called "Use parameterized queries" in Database Connections is unchecked. This is a requirement for Database Instance for Enterprise Manager/Statistics to work properly.
ACTION
Check "Use parameterized queries." checkbox, followed by restarting Intelligence Server.
