KB39076: Error(s) occurred while loading report: DSSSQLEngine: converting Report : Template (Local Template). -Filter (). -Binding Table failed..when drilling into a grid or graph with a view filter, navigating back, and changing a selector.

 

Error(s) occurred while loading report: DSSSQLEngine: converting Report : Template (Local Template). -Filter (). -Binding Table failed..Internal Error: DSSDocumentDataPreparationTask::Run(): Error evaluate views info, job 11840, Error Code=-2147212797.)

 If drilling to a prompted template and then navigating back to the document.  Once having drilled to the template and then using the green back arrow and making a change to a selector that would alter the grid the error will occur.  This selector changes that would alter the grid cause a binding table failed error.
This error is seen specifically when having previously drilled into a grid that has a view filter applied to it from within the document and when drilling to a prompted template.
CAUSE:
This is a known issue within Strategy Web 9.3.1
ACTION:
Please contact Strategy Technical Support for an update on the issue.
WORKAROUND:
Removing the view filter from the grid or graph being drilled from will allow the user to drill and go back fine.  This filter can be applied to the grid in other ways such as by using a report filter in a separate dataset.
