Unexpected error; quitting
NOTE: Strategy Narrowcast Server ships sample code to create Database Information Source Module(ISM). This RegisterISM.bat is the batch file in the sample code.
ISM sample code is strictly to be used as an example and not intended for use in production quality environments. This sample code is meant to be used for testing, demonstration, illustration, educational, and proof-of-concept purposes only. This sample code is provided "as-is" and Strategy accepts
no warranty of any kind.
CAUSE:
This error happens when the user executing the RegisterISM.bat file is not an administrator of the Windows machine.
ACTION:
Follow the instructions in the Readme:
Run the "RegisterISM.bat" fileA) For Windows Vista, Windows 2008 and Windows 7, you can proceed any of these ways:
1) Run RegisterXMLISM.bat from "Command Prompt" as Administrator
- Go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories
- Right mouse click "Command Prompt" and select "Run as Administrator"
- From "Command Prompt", run RegisterISM.bat under DatabaseISM\CompiledFiles folder
2) Log in windows as the Local Administrator and double-click the RegisterISM.bat file in the DatabaseISM\CompiledFiles folder.
B) For all other Windows operating systems:
- Double-click the RegisterISM.bat file in the DatabaseISM\CompiledFiles folder.
Edit the registry so that Narrowcast Server is aware of the Database ISM.
- Run Regedit (in the Start Menu, under Run, type Regedit) and add the following STRING key to the registry under:
