SYMPTOM:
When running a grid report, the user is unable to uncheck the merge row/column headers in Strategy Web.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Create a report.
2. Add category to the rows.
3. Run the report and navigate to Tools - Report Options - General. Notice that the option to uncheck merge row/column headers is greyed out, as shown below:
CAUSE:
The preference for "Grid style" is set to "Use my selected default grid style." When grid style is set to this, all custom grid formatting for reports is disabled.
ACTION:
Change the preference for "Grid style" to "Use the format stored in the report definition" by clicking on the user name - Preferences - User preferences - Grid Display as shown below:
