In some cases, Strategy Office may not be removed completely even after running the uninstaller. To manually uninstall Strategy Office and completely remove it from your system, follow the steps below:
- Delete the following folders:
- For 64-bit machines, delete C:\Program Files (x86)\Strategy\Office
- For 32-bit machines, delete C:\Program Files\Strategy\Office
- For all machines, delete C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Strategy\Office Note: it may be necessary to change the operating system folder display settings to display hidden folders/files to be able to find this paths.
- Launch the Windows Registry Editor and delete the following keys (for 64-bit machines, use HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node instead of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE):
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Strategy\DSS Suite\Office
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Strategy\DSS Suite\Office\WSURL
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\MozartAddIn.MozartAddIn
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins\MozartAddIn.MozartAddIn
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\PowerPoint\AddIns\MozartAddIn.MozartAddIn
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\AssemblyFolders\Strategy Office
- Once these keys have been deleted, restart the machine
- Check the Windows Programs and Features menu to make sure Strategy Office no longer appears in the list. If it does appear, in registry editor search for the string "MSTR Office" or "Strategy Office" to locate a key similar to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{0702745F-AE1A-4BF1-8A1F-3727452A0781}. After deleting this key and restarting the machine, Strategy Office should no longer appear under Programs and Features.

Modifying registry values incorrectly may cause serious, system-wide problems that may require the re-installation of Microsoft Windows NT. Any edit of the registry is done at the user's own risk. Since these are user-initiated changes, they are not covered by any Strategy warranty. If using Microsoft Windows NT, the user should backup the registry and/or update an Emergency Repair Disk (ERD) prior to alterations.
NOTE: The Windows account that is used during the initial installation, finalizing steps, and applying any hotfixes should be a member of the Administrators group on the machine. Performing any of the above steps under an account that is not a member of the Administrators group on the machine may result in an incomplete or unstable Strategy environment.
