A document does not automatically switch between Portrait and Landscape layouts when rotating the iPad device in MicroStrategy 9.2.1. This is fixed in MicroStrategy 9.4.1 iOS Update 4.

SYMPTOM:
Consider a document with the following properties: One layout with an iPad Landscape Document Template and another layout with an iPad Portrait Document Template.  Each layout is configured to have the supported orientation as the one that reflects the template orientation.  To illustrate, refer to the screenshot below that shows Layout 1 to be configured with Landscape Only as the Supported Orientation.

Layout 2 is configured with Portrait Only as the Supported Orientation

The layouts do not automatically switch based on the orientation the user is viewing the iPad.

CAUSE:
This is a limitation of the Strategy Mobile 9.2.1 iPad app.

ACTION:
This issue has been fixed in Strategy 9.4.1 iOS Update 4. Upgrade to this version or above to take advantage of the fix.
