KB39738: "[Error in My Subscriptions Distribution Services content service metadata is not available]" error message appears when accessing My Subscriptions or when creating Web Deliveries in MicroStrategy Web 9.4.x

KB describes possible cause of Distribution Services not being available through web due to Scheduler being disabled at Intelligence Server level.

SYMPTOM:
When attempting to access My Subscriptions or create Web Deliveries in Strategy Web 9.4.x the following error message is displayed:

Error in My Subscriptions (Distribution Services content service metadata is not available.)The e-mail subscriptions feature is currently unavailable.Please contact your Administrator.

 
CAUSE:
 
One possible cause of this error message is that the Strategy Scheduler has been disabled, preventing the usage of Distribution Services.
 
ACTION:
 
To resolve this issue enable the 'Use Strategy Scheduler' setting found under Strategy Intelligence Server Configuration under Advanced as shown below:
