'Hit count' refers to the number of times the Intelligent Cube has been used by reports since it was last updated while 'historic hit count' refers to the number of times the Intelligent Cube has been used by reports since it was published. Hit count would increase every time the report gets executed and hits the cache, while 'historic hit count' would change if the cube instance ID changes.
