How to use Edit Links to pass all the elements of an attribute from a parent to a child report/document.

SYMPTOM:
Users can utilize the 'Edit Links' functionality in Strategy to pass the 'selected' elements of attributes from parent to child reports/documents. However it it is also possible to pass 'all' elements of attributes from a parent to a child report/document.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  • Create a parent report with Year attribute (R1) and a child report with the Quarter attribute and a Year attribute element list prompt (R2).
  • Edit the parent report, click on 'Edit Links' and target the above child document using 'Run this report or document' and select your prompt to 'Answer Dynamically'
