This Technical Note describes an issue that occur when users run a search in MicroStrategy Object Manager, they receive the error "You do not have the licenses or privileges to use the search for objects"

SYMPTOM:
The following error message is returned when when running a search in Strategy Object Manager.

Sample Code/Error
"You do not have the licenses or privileges to use the Search for Objects"
 
CAUSE:
This is by design as Strategy Developer needs to be installed on the machine in order to use the search editor in Strategy Object Manager.
 
ACTION:
Install Strategy Developer in the machine where Object Manager is running to enable the search functionality
