KB40033: How to enable the Catalog Server tracing for issues with the Warehouse Catalog

Stefan Zepeda

Salesforce Solutions Architect • Strategy

This article explains how to enable the Catalog Server traces for troubleshooting purposes

The Catalog Server traces should be enabled on the client machine.  To enable these, open the Diagnostics and Configuration tool from All Programs > Strategy Tools (./mstrdiag on UNIX).
In the Strategy Diagnostics logging you must use ‘Machine Default’ as the configuration.  Once ‘Machine Default’ is chosen, the traces under Catalog Server will be available.
