KB40042: How to change the Project Source Name that displays when connecting to MicroStrategy Office 9.4.1 and above.

Follow the steps below to change the Project Source Name that appears when users connect to Strategy Office:
 

1. On the Web Server machine, locate the 'projectsources.xml' file. The default location on a Windows machine is C:\Program Files (x86)\MicroStrategy\Web Services\projectsources.xml.
2. Open the file and edit the 'ProjectSourceName' to the name desired.

• Save the xml file and restart the Web Server. When users connect to Strategy Office, the new project source name should now be displayed.
