KB40429: How to remove the magnifying glass icon from grid title bar in a Report Services document using MicroStrategy SDK 9.2.1?

In MicroStrategy Web 9.2.1, when running a Report Services document, by default, a magnifying glass icon appears on grid title bar, as shown below:

When clicking the icon, the grid page is zoomed in. Using Strategy Web SDK 9.2.1, the magnifying glass icon can be removed, as shown below:

To achieve this customization, perform the following steps using the Web Customization Editor provided with Strategy Web SDK:
 

  • Launch the Web Customization Editor
  • Go to the CSS Settings tab, expand CSS > Strategy Web Styles > style.
  • Right-click style and select search selectors to search for the selector .mstrIcon-btnFind.
  • Double-click .mstrIcon-btnFind to expand it
  • Add a property visibility with the value hidden, as shown below:

  • Run the document in Strategy Web, note that the maglifying glass icon is removed.
