When removing a table and saving the changes in MicroStrategy Warehouse Catalog 9.4.1 and 10.x, following error message appears: "An object with name 'XXX' and type 'Table' already exists in the destination folder."

SYMPTOM:
When removing a table and saving the changes in Strategy Warehouse Catalog 9.4.1 and 10.x, following error message appears:

An object with name 'XXX' and type 'Table' already exists in the destination folder.

CAUSE:
This is because the table that one is trying to remove has an inconsistent definition. To confirm this, users can go to Schema Objects -> Tables in Desktop and edit it.  One may notice an empty Logical View and Physical View.

ACTION:
Please contact Strategy Technical Support for further assistance. In order to track down the cause of the inconsistency, customers encountering this issue should make note of Schema-related changes, Object Migrations, or error messages prior to experiencing the problem. Change Journaling, if it has been enabled, can help in preserving this information.

WORKAROUND:
Delete the table from "Schema Objects/Tables" folder in Desktop.
