KB40679: "RoleObject is not found in DFCSchema during DFC conversion" error message appears when updating project schema in 3-tier in MicroStrategy Developer.

When updating project schema in 3-tier in Strategy Developer 9.x, following error message appears:

ka04W000000uGCDQA2_0EM440000002DBM.png

Error(s) occurred while loading schema: DSSSQLEngine: Schema loading error: Population Exception: The object shown in the following hierarchy no longer exists in schema: -RoleObject is not found in DFCSchema during DFC conversion.

Updating project schema works fine in 2-tier.

CAUSE:
This occurs is because there are some inconsistent transformation objects in the project. Users can run ScanMD to confirm. When running ScanMD against the project, errors similar to the following are detected:

User fixable error : Error : Transformation Attribute {'Attribute Path' with ID }'s attribute forms collection is empty.

ACTION:
Please contact Strategy Technical Support for further assistance. In order to track down the cause of the inconsistency, customers encountering this issue should make note of Schema-related changes, Object Migrations, or error messages prior to experiencing the problem. Change Journaling, if it has been enabled, can help in preserving this information.
