KB41092: Metric formatting incorrectly changes in a dual axis graph when multiple metrics are placed on the graph in MicroStrategy 9.4.x-10.x

Stefan Zepeda

Salesforce Solutions Architect • Strategy

This article describes an issue that affects dual axis graphs when the metric value formatting is not the same for each metric

SYMPTOM:
When using a dual axis graph in Strategy 9.4.x-10.x, if the metric value formatting is the same for each metric there will be no issues.  However, if the formatting changes (one currency and one percent) then both of the graph axis's formatting becomes the same, taking on the currency as in the example below.
The two metric values are shown correctly on the graph:

After adding additional metrics to the graph notice the axis on the right how the scale changes:

CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy 9.4.x-10.x.

ACTION:
Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.
