Stefan Zepeda

This technical note outlines an issue that occurs when using the XEG Tool, where the SOAP header section is duplicated and the user is prompted to "Please enter valid request".

SYMPTOM:
The XQuery Editor and Generator(XEG) does not correctly generate the SOAP request for web services published through BusinessObjects' Web Intellience. The SOAP header section is duplicated and the user is prompted to "Please enter valid request".

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Use a .wsdl file published by BusinessObjects' Web Intelligence.
2. Open XQuery Editor and Generator(XEG) and create a new XQuery
3. Select SOAP Protocol
4. In the WSDL file text field, select the wsdl file from step 1
5. Select the GetReportBlock_webserv_webi operation and click next
6. Click next again and the XEG asks you to "Please Enter a Valid Request".
7. If you look at the the SOAP Request, you will see that the SOAP Header is repeated at the end of the SOAP Request as seen below:
