The scenario is that a report is executed and a cache is created for this particular report. The Cache Monitor (Administration > System Monitors > Caches > Reports) shows the following status:

After executing the same report, the Hit Count has been incremented by 1 and the status "Dirty" was added. See below:

The definition of the "Dirty" status means that the cache contents in memory are newer than the cache contents on disk.
For more cache status definitions, please have a look at the following technote:
KB5370: What does each cache status mean in MicroStrategy Intelligence Server 9.x and newer?
The question is, why is the cache referred to as "Dirty" if the cache contents haven't been changed and the report accessed the cache only ?
ANSWER
The "Dirty" status implies that the cache information in memory is not in sync with what is saved on disk.
This does not mean that the contents of the cache do not match but that the statistics of the cache (such as the Hit Count as shown in the scenario above) do not match and therefore has the status of "Dirty".
Depending on the value of the cache backup frequency (default is 0 minutes), the dirty flag will be removed once the cache information held in memory is backed up to disk.
The cache backup frequency can be found in the Intelligence Server Configuration > Server Definition > Advanced > Backup Frequency (minutes):
