KB413999: User can't see "Search for dependent subscription" option when right clicking the report to search report's dependent subscriptions in MicroStrategy Developer 9.x-10.x.

SYMPTOM:
 
Although a user has a sufficient privilege (Administration tab -> "Monitor Subscriptions" privilege ) to search for dependent subscription, that user does not see "Search for dependent subscription" option when trying to search for report/document's dependent subscription in Strategy Developer 9.x-10.x as shown below:
 

 
CAUSE:
 
This issue is encountered when the Strategy Server Administration product is not installed. Without the Strategy Server Administrator installed on the machine running Strategy Platform, "Search for dependent Subscription" option is not available regardless of user's privileges and access control list configuration.
 
ACTION:
 
Modify Strategy installation and install "Strategy Server Administrator" option as shown below:
 

The other possible cause is switching off the Strategy Scheduler in the I-server configuration. Searching for dependent subscriptions is only possible with this feature turned on.

Once this is done the option will be available.
