Users can access quick search from
- Search Page
- Search option on the top navigation bar. Report / Documents can be executed directly from the search results.
- Report template which allow users to add attributes / metrics to reports without project folder browsing.
For any NEW projects
- Search page will be used automatically as the default start page and quick search will be enabled by default.
- User can change the default start page by updating the Default Start page preference in Web.
For EXISTING projects
- Administrator needs to manually enable quick search
- Users need to manually set the Search page as default start page if this preference value has been set in the Metadata.
Default Landing Page contains:
- 'Search' tab: '+' icon on the "Search" tab on the left allows user to see detailed options available to help search
- 'Browse' tab: Shows links to Shared Reports, My Reports, History List and My Subscriptions.
- 'Create' tab: Shows links to create objects in Strategy Web, including Data Import
- 'Tools' tab: Shows links to Preferences, Strategy Version Information, Intelligence Server Administration
Quick search is also available on the top navigation bar. Users can search and launch reports / documents directly from the Search results.
