SYMPTOM:

When exporting a report that displays translated attribute forms to Excel or PDF in Strategy Web 9.3.0, users expect to see the attribute forms translated on the exported report to the same language in which they appear in Strategy Web. However, the exported report displays the attribute forms in the original language in which the attribute was created.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

Follow these steps in Strategy Tutorial 9.3.0 to reproduce:

  • In Strategy Web 9.3.0, create a report with "Customer" in the rows and "Profit" in the columns.
  • Right click on "Customer", navigate to "Attribute forms", and enable "First name" and "Last name", as shown below:

  •
Note: Save and close the report.
  • In the Strategy Web Preferences, under User preferences, change the Language to Spanish and click "Apply".
  • Log out of Strategy Web 9.3.0 and log back in as the same user.
  • Run the report created previously and notice that the attribute form names appear in Spanish as expected.
  • Export the report to Excel or PDF and notice that the attribute form names appear in English.

CAUSE:
