SYMPTOM:
In Strategy SQL Engine 9.4.x- 10.x, metrics defined on logical views are ineligible for dynamic sourcing. Enable Report Parse Log under Diagnostics Logging > Dynamic Sourcing, the following error is observed:
CMI_TABLE_EXPR_GENERATION_ERROR - Dynamic sourcing cannot be used because it cannot be determined which table was used to return a metric's values.
NOTE: If the Intelligent Cube only has metrics defined on logical views, then the whole Intelligent Cube is ineligible for dynamic sourcing.
CAUSE:
This is a known enhancement request to Strategy SQL Engine 9.4.x-10.x.
ACTION:
Currently this issue is still being reviewed for feasibility by our Technology team and it is not scoped for any upcoming scheduled Strategy release.
