KB41694: "The logical partition mapping table for warehouse table XXXX was not found in the project" error appears when trying to open Warehouse Catalog

"The logical partition mapping table for warehouse table XXXX was not found in the project" error appears when trying to open Warehouse Catalog.

SYMPTOM:

When trying to open the Warehouse Catalog, the following error appears:

ka04W00000148KBQAY_0EM440000002D2i.png

The logical partition mapping table for warehouse table 'XXXX' was not found
in the project. To ensure consistency this warehouse table will be removed
from the project.

After clicking OK, another error message appears:

ka04W00000148KBQAY_0EM440000002D2x.png

DB Table object 'XXXX' cannot be deleted because other objects depend on it.

As a result, the Warehouse Catalog cannot be opened.

CAUSE:

One possible cause of this issue is that a partition mapping logical table is missing, but the warehouse table it is based on has not been removed from the project. After getting the first error and clicking OK, Strategy tries to remove the table without success as it still has some dependents.

ACTION:

Please contact Strategy Technical Support for further assistance. In order to track down the cause of the inconsistency, customers encountering this issue should make note of Schema-related changes, Object Migrations, or error messages prior to experiencing the problem. Change Journaling, if it has been enabled, can help in preserving this information.
