KB41861: How to restrict users from republishing an Intelligent Cube while still allowing them the ability to perform Visual Insight analysis on the cubes information.

The following procedure describes how to prevent a user from being able to re-publish selective cubes (i.e. the user still needs the privilege for re-publishing Intelligent Cubes, but just need this restricted for particular cubes), while still allowing this user to perform Visual Insight analysis on the cubes information.

1) Right click the intelligent cube and select Properties -> Security

2) Add a new User to the ACL list of the Intelligent Cube object and deny the Execute permission (this prevents the user from re-publishing this particular cube)

3) The user will then need to create an Intelligent Cube report off of the Intelligent cube

4) The user will then have the required Execute permission on the Intelligent Cube report and can perform the Visual Insight analysis on the report built off of the Intelligent Cube (Execute privilege is required to perform Visual Insight analysis)
