SYMPTOM:
Steps to reproduce:
- Link an LDAP attribute to a system prompt LDAP attribute in Strategy Desktop as in KB35069 "How to link LDAP attributes to system prompt LDAP attributes in Strategy Developer 10.x? "
- Within the LDAP directory, for user A, modify the attribute to contain 2 values, e.g. "001, 002".
- Create a report in Developer that filters based on the system prompt.
- Login to Strategy with user A's credentials and try to run the report. Notice that the report returns "No data exists for the criteria you selected."
- Switch to SQL view and note that in the WHERE clause, the LDAP attribute filter returns a list of numbers, which are inserted into report SQL as e.g. ('001, 002') instead of (001, 002) or ('001', '002').
CAUSE:
Currently Strategy does not support multiple return values for system prompts.
ACTION:
Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.
WORKAROUND:
Configure the LDAP directory to only have one return value for the attribute for each user.
