• Strategy

Use a report with a metric qualification prompt as a dataset a VI Dashboard/ Document with a heat map visualization. After creating custom threshold ranges and colors run the VI Dashboard/ Document. If the qualification prompt is not answered the legend correctly reflects the threshold ranges and colors remain the same. If the qualification prompt is answered the legend no longer reflects the threshold ranges and the colors remain the same.

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web 10.4 when using a report with a metric qualification prompt as a dataset a VI Dashboard/ Document with a heat map visualization. After creating custom threshold ranges and colors run the VI Dashboard/ Document. If the qualification prompt is not answered the legend correctly reflects the threshold ranges and colors remain the same. If the qualification prompt is answered the legend no longer reflects the threshold ranges and the colors remain the same.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Follow these steps to reproduce the issue in a Strategy Tutorial Project

Create a report with Category Cost and Profit

Add an optional answering qualification prompt on the Cost metric for greater than or equal to 10,000

Create a document using the prompted report as the dataset. Then add advanced visual thresholds to profit so that there will be 4 colors based on the Percentage of profit: 0-25%, 25-50%, 50-75% and 75-100%.

Right Click the grid> Properties and formatting> Widget

Enable the grid to show as a Heat Map Widget in Web (dhtml) with the following settings

Run the document in presentation mode. If the qualification prompt is not answered the legend correctly reflects the threshold ranges and colors remain the same.

Re-prompt the document and answer the qualification prompt. The legend will no longer reflect the threshold ranges and the while the colors remain the same.

The same results are seen in VI Dashboards when the qualification prompt is answered. The legend will no longer reflect the threshold ranges and the while the colors remain the same.

CAUSE:
This is an identified defect in Strategy Web
ACTION:
Currently this issue is still being reviewed for feasibility by our Technology team and it is not scoped for any upcoming scheduled Strategy release.
