KB42665: "JavaScript errors were encountered on this page“ error message appears when adding dataset to dashboard in MicroStrategy Web.

SYMPTOM:
When a InfoAtoms add-on is installed to Internet Explorer, if users go to Strategy Web and add a dataset to the dashboard, error "JavaScript errors were encountered on this page“ will appear as shown below.

1. Download and install InfoAtoms. http://www.infoatoms.com/
2. Open Strategy Web through Internet Explorer, logon to a project and create an empty dashboard.
3. Add a report as dataset to the dashboard. Then the error will appear.

 
          Click the error, more details show.
 

 
 
CAUSE:
A possible cause of this issue is that InfoAtoms Add-on is installed, there is a software conflict with the InfoAtoms Add-On, which causes Internet Explorer to execute the javascript calls from Strategy Web incorrectly.
 
ACTION:
Uninstall InfoAtoms application or disable InfoAtoms add-on in Internet Explorer.
