KB42699: Would Change Journaling entries migrate over to new environments after performing Project Duplications or object migrations via Object Manager?

QUESTION:

If a user has Change Journaling enabled, would these journal entries carry over to new environments after performing Project Duplications or migrating objects via Object Manager?
ANSWER:

Change Journaling entries would not carry over across environments or project sources when performing project duplications or object migrations. Change Journaling is enabled at the project source level. Change Journaling entries represent changes made to an object (attribute, metric, report, etc.) within that particular environment and project source. As such, when performing the project duplications or migrations of individual objects, the related entries will not migrate over.
More information regarding Change Journaling can be found within the “System Administration” Product Manual.
