KB42787: "The external function called ({http://www.microstrategy.com/xquery/rest-functions}webdav) is not bound in the static context" error comes back from XQuery Editor and Generator (XEG) when Webdav selected with MicroStrategy 9.x and 10.x

SYMPTOM:
When trying to setup a connection to use a webdav query against SharePoint, the error below appears:

The external function called ({http://www.Strategy.com/xquery/rest-functions}webdav) is not bound in the static context

 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Execute the following in Strategy Tutorial:

1. Configure Webdav per KB39315: How to install WebDav in IIS 6?
2. Open XQuery Editor and Generator (XEG) and select new > webdav > and put in a URL.
3. Select PROPFIND method and hit Next

 
CAUSE:
Currently, XEG does not support WebDav connection.
 
ACTION:
Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.
