SYMPTOM
Common users who have been granted the Monitor User Connections privilege cannot see the connection <server> for the project source in Desktop under Administration > System Monitor > User Connections in Strategy 9.x. Only the connection to the project is shown as below:

On the background, it is possible to see the expected behavior where one <server> connection is displayed for each user connected to that project source. On the foreground, it is possible to notice that only project connections are displayed in a way that the users which are not connected to any project are not listed in the User Connections Monitor.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. On Desktop, edit the user group Administration > User Groups > Everyone.
2. By default, the Strategy Tutorial projects are associated with the Normal Users security role.
3. Under Project Access section, make sure that (e.g.) the Strategy Tutorial project has no security roles associated with as below:

4. Under Administration > Configuration Managers > Security Roles create a new security role and grant it only the Monitor User Connections privilege.
5. Create a new user under the Everyone user group.
6. Under the Project Access section, select the security role created in the step 3 for the Strategy Tutorial project.
7. On a separate window, log on the Desktop with the user created in the step 4.
8. Browse through Administration > System Monitor > User Connection and notice that no <server> connection is displayed.
