"The object shown in the following hierarchy no longer exists in the schema: erroneous or obsolete schema" error occurs when trying to update Schema or run any report in MicroStrategy Developer 9.x.

When trying to update schema or run any report or document in Strategy Developer 9.x, the following error occurs:
 


DSSSQLENGINE: Schema conversion error: :The object shown in the following hierarchy no longer exists in the schema: erroneous or obsolete schema

CAUSE:
This behavior has been reported in Strategy 9.x, however its root cause is unknown.
 
ACTION:
Run ScanMD Common Tests (check all the verification tests under Schema). Refer to the following technical note for information on how to install and run ScanMD:

Contact Strategy Technical Support if the issue is not resolved after running ScanMD.
